Work permits allow employers who have a trading presence in Canada to employ overseas nationals.

Work Permits can be granted for up to three years and can take as little as few weeks to be issued. The Authorities have to be satisfied of three main criteria before issuing a work permit:

Is the position on offer of a sufficient skill level?

Does the applicant have sufficient skills or qualifications to undertake the position?

Could an individual from the local labour market undertake the role?
